National Society of Film Critics Love Inside Llewyn Davis
The Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis were the big winners as the NSFC dished out their awards, scooping Best Picture, Director, Actor and Cinematography. The full list of winners, including runners ups can be found on the official National Society of Film Critics website.
So what do these results mean in terms of Oscars? In truth, not much at all beyond predicting who could be nominated. Only 5 times fince 1967 has NFCS’ choice for Best Picture matched the Academy, which is high compared to Best Director. These results will probably stand as nothing more than confirmation of which films are most likely to be competing for nominations, and if you want a solid idea of who might win you are better off looking towards the guilds.
