Oscars 2017: Short Documentary Qualifying Festivals

In order to qualify a documentary short film for Academy Awards consideration, it has to meet one of the following broad criteria:

1. Theatrical exhibition in Los Angeles
2. Wins a qualifying film festival award
3. Wins a Student Academy Award

If one or more of the above are met between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, the film can be considered for nomination in the documentary short category.
