Striking Teaser Trailer For ‘Mortal Engines’ Released
Peter Jackson sure loves attaching his name to epic sagas. First the multi-award winning Lord Of The Rings trilogy, only to return to Middle-Earth with The Hobbit instalments.
Now he’s on producing duties, reunited with his King Kong VFX artist turned director Christian Rivers as they serve up a distinct and futuristic vision of London, with the first trailer for ‘Mortal Engines’.
Based on the series of novels written by Philip Reeve, here we get our first glimpse of Hera Hilmar’s Hester Shaw, as this engrossing first look drives home its city-on-wheels premise.
Also starring Hugo Weaving, Stephen Lang and Robert Sheehan, ‘Mortal Engines’ drives into cinemas on 14th December 2018.
‘Thousands of years after civilization was destroyed by a cataclysmic event, humankind has adapted and a new way of living has evolved. Gigantic moving cities now roam the Earth, ruthlessly preying upon smaller traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan)—who hails from a Lower Tier of the great traction city of London—finds himself fighting for his own survival after he encounters the dangerous fugitive Hester Shaw (Hera Hilmar). Two opposites, whose paths should never have crossed, forge an unlikely alliance that is destined to change the course of the future.’
