Blistering First Trailer For Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky
‘Two brothers. Three arms. One incredible plan.’
Making a mockery of recent suggestions that he may retire from directing, after the well-received double-header of Behind The Candelabra and Side Effects back in 2013, Steven Soderbergh is back with his first effort in four years.
In the fantastic debut trailer for Logan Lucky, we see on-screen brothers Channing Tatum (his fourth collaboration with Soderbergh) and Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) look to carry out an audacious robbery, at the Coca Cola Cup NASCAR race that takes place at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Boasting an ensemble that ‘introduces’ us to the incarcerated ‘the hair’s blonde, bleach blonde’ phase of Daniel Craig (Skyfall) and Seth McFarlane looking like he’s drawn inspiration from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video, this looks a welcome return to the quirky sensibilities of Soderbergh’s early work.
Logan Lucky is released in the UK on 25th August 2017.
