Chloe Grace Moretz Rebels Against Gay Conversion Therapy In ‘The Miseducation Of Cameron Post’ Trailer
For all the progress made in the fight for LGBTQ rights. The hideous concept of gay conversion therapy lingers in 2018, with the UK government only last week declaring its intention to outright ban such practices.
A subject matter not often tackled in cinema. Appropriate Behaviour director Desiree Akhavan is looking to change all that with ‘The Miseducation Of Cameron Post’ starring Kick-Ass actress Chloe Grace Moretz in the titular role, who is sent to a conversion therapy center to ‘cure’ her same-sex attraction, finding comfort in the company of fellow ‘sinners’ Jane (Sasha Lane) and Adam (Forrest Goodluck).
Based on the much-lauded novel by Emily M.Danforth and already a hit at Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival respectively. This promises to be a vital watch. ‘The Miseducation Of Cameron Post’ is released in UK cinemas on 31st August.
