Dave Bautista Still Not Letting It Go, Sarcastically Thanks Disney For Firing James Gunn
Blade Runner 2049‘s Dave Bautista has been easily the most vocal critic of Disney Studios following their decision to terminate director James Gunn’s contract for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and the actor – who portrays Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – is refusing to let it go.
Gunn lost his job when alt-right keyboard warriors dug up decade-old tweets of his that made darkly-humorous jokes about taboo subjects such as child molestation and rape in what Gunn has since called a “juvenile” attempt “to shock”. It’s believed that the alt-right ‘cybernazis’ who targeted Gunn did so in ‘retaliation’ for his staunch opposition to the United States’ controversial President, Donald Trump.
As such, Bautista made a distinctly unsubtle dig at his employers, whilst quoting the Commander in Chief:
Thanks @Disney !! Making America great again! 🇺🇸 https://t.co/t6A4030xkS

Bautista was last seen in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and is still contractually obliged to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is currently seeking a new director.
