Denzel Washington Headlines First ‘Roman J. Israel, Esq’ Trailer

With Jake Gyllenhaal front and centre, an actor renowned for playing obsessive protagonists as it digs deep into the seedy underbelly of TV news in LA. 2014’s Nightcrawler was a razor-sharp offering from writer and director Dan Gilroy.

Now he returns with ‘Roman J. Israel, Esq’, with Sony Pictures today releasing the debut trailer for the film. The film follows Denzel Washington in the titular role growing tired of the criminal court system, who is recruited by Colin Farrell’s highly motivated lawyer George, as he looks to reverse the injustices inflicted upon the less fortunate.

With its UK release on 1st December and the strong performances on display here, don’t be surprised if this is another awards darling for Washington.
