First Glimpse at The Mummy Reboot! UPDATED

Here it is, the first full trailer for The Mummy, and there’s no Brendan Fraser in sight! And Tom Cruise looks like he’ll be doing plenty of running.

Normally, I don’t go for this sort of thing, the full trailer will be released on Sunday, but this is pretty cool. It doesn’t show us much but we get a disturbing first look at Sofia Boutella as the new incarnation of the titular character, as well as Tom Cruise and even more interestingly, Russell Crowe as Doctor Jekyll. The full trailer will obviously have more to show and we will update this as soon as it hits.

But for now, here’s a teaser for a trailer.

The Mummy kicks off Universal’s shared monster franchise, that will include The Mummy, Jekyll and Hyde, The Invisible Man (with Johnny Depp) and The Bride of Frankenstein (Javier Bardem reportedly signed on as The Monster) and other in active development.

The Mummy will be released 9th June 2017
