Fox Appoint Millar As ‘Creative Consultant’ For Marvel Projects!
Perhaps with the exception of the first two X Men films directed by Bryan Singer, Fox have had their difficulties in translating comic book characters (Marvel) from the vibrant pages to the big screen successfully. Ben Affleck’s Daredevil. The unhealthy mixture of Jessica Alba and co as the Fantastic Four.
In dire need of inspiration, they’ve turned to a much beloved figure with fanboys/girls. Enter Mark Millar, the author of such brilliance as the Kick Ass comics and Wanted. He has confirmed that he has ‘agreed a deal’ to become Fox’s creative consultant on future superhuman projects.
Millar certainly hasn’t hidden his delight, stating ‘I really like the Fox team, love this bold new direction they have for their franchises and am proud to be working alongside some of modern cinema’s biggest talents’.
The projects in particular he has been assigned are The Wolverine reboot headed up by Hugh Jackman, the reboot of the Fantastic Four directed by Chronicle’s Josh Trank and X Men: Days Of Future’s Past.
Measuring his success in such a genre, we can only declare this a wise move by the Hollywood studio!
