Frozen Sweeps Annie Awards
The Annie awards were recently handed out, with Disney’s Frozen scooping five awards including the top prize. It’s the surest sign yet that the film is on its way to Academy Awards glory. Get A Horse! won the award for animated short film, which asserts it as the Oscar favorite in its own category. The short cartoon uses Walt Disney’s voice for the mouse, combining 3D with 2D in a visual feast that animators will certainly appreciate.
The Croods, another animated feature nominee, picked up three awards, while Pacific Rim and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey were also among the winners. Monsters University, a film left out by the Academy, won two awards.
