Hans Zimmer “not invited back to do Superman vs Batman movie”
It has been revealed that movie soundtrack composer, Hans Zimmer, has not yet been invited back to work on the anticipated Warner Brothers’ “Superman vs Batman” movie. Rumours have been circulating that the planned sequel to “Man of Steel” will begin filming the outdoor scenes this weekend in a football stadium. Zimmer’s previous work has included composing themes for Nolan’s Dark Knight triology, Snyder’s Man of Steel and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Zimmer has recently told Vulture that working on the movie may be impossible:
“Honestly, I’m just sort of grappling with that right now. Quite seriously, the thought right now is that no, I don’t want to go and take what I did with [Christopher Nolan] and just plonk it into another movie. There isn’t one good reason to do it, and there are so many good reasons not to do it.”
However, he hasn’t ruled himself out of the new “Superman vs Batman” movie altogether as he says:
“Zack hasn’t talked to me about it, so I don’t have to worry about it! I’ll worry about it when I have to worry about it, and then, if I’m lucky, I’ll have an idea. If I have an idea, I can do something with that, but if I don’t have an idea, then my good idea is going to be, ‘Get somebody else.'”
The question is, however, who would this “somebody else” be?
