Hemsworth To Become All ‘American Assassin’?
Rising star Chris Hemsworth is certainly in demand. Bringing the house down with his trustee hammer as Thor with Avengers Assemble. Proving a trusty Huntsman alongside Kristen Stewart’s Snow White. Now, he’s been offered a hefty pay check to undertake another all action role.
It has been confirmed today, that Hemsworth has been offered $10 million by CBS films to take on the role of Mitch Rapp in a film adaptation of ‘American Assassin’. Set to be directed by Homeland’s Jeffrey Nachmanoff and target the early stages of Rapp’s career as a CIA hunter of terrorists, it will take inspiration from the best selling novels written by Vince Flynn.
If Hemsworth seals the deal, he will likely star alongside Bruce Willis (Die Hard, The Expendables) who will be involved as Rapp’s ‘mentor’. With potential success inevitably spawning a franchise, it’s intriguing to see if the actor agrees considering his work schedule.
He is currently working on Thor follow-up ‘The Dark World’ and is also set to hook up with Steven Spielberg for ‘Robocaplypse’.
