Her and Captain Phillips Among WGA Winners
The Writers Guild of America recently held their annual awards, with Spike Jonze’s Her now a clear favourite for the Oscar after scooping Original Screenplay. Captain Phillips also won for Adapted Screenplay and Stories We Tell picked up the Documentary award.
So what does this mean? Well Her has been picking up screenplay awards all over the place, so it should now be quite a safe bet for the Oscar, while Captain Phillips still isn’t a sure thing but this accolade will no doubt help its cause.
The full list of winners, including television and radio, can be seen on the WGA Awards site, and below are the motion picture winners.
