James Brown Biopic In The Offing!

THIS is a biopic about one of music’s most legendary figures, that has been brewing in Hollywood’s mind for many a year. Today seems to be the day, that significant movement has finally been made with a film depicting the remarkable life of soul sensation James Brown.

Well renowned producer Brian Grazer has been the key benefactor behind a potential film (plotting since 2006), convincing another musical powerhouse to join him on board. The man in question is Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. The film is set to specifically target the early years of Brown, as he combated a rough upbringing. Jagger couldn’t hide his delight, stating

‘It’s a great honour to be involved with a project as rich as the story of legendary James Brown. He was a mesmerising performer with a fascinating life.’

In further developments, Grazer seems to have bagged a director. Bringing a deft and poignant touch already to a much loved and award winning hit from last year ‘The Help’, Tate Taylor is set to helm the film bringing the script written by Jez and John Henry Butterworth to life.

The big question now.. who will play the Godfather of Soul?
