Movie Marker is entering an exciting period, having established ourselves as one of the leading film websites in the UK, we are now looking to recruit a Film News Writer, focusing on the latest news concerning the latest film releases, future releases and the film industry in general. The news articles will need to be eye-catching and are usually no longer than 250-300 words. Depending on the success of this new role, the opportunity for a permanent role will become available following a three month trial period. As the website grows, the opportunity for higher pay and to progress further within the team will become available.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the film industry, have an eye on current and future releases and be able to produce high quality and timely content. The candidate does not have to be U.K based, but must possess a high standard of written English.
The role will require a minimum weekly contribution of articles (negotiable) and will be paid monthly, according to the agreed number of contributions. Knowledge of WordPress would be advantageous, though not essential.
