The Latest Coco Trailer Encourages You To ‘Find Your Voice’
We at Movie Marker have been left spellbound already by the gorgeous animation of Disney/Pixar’s latest, which makes it all the more frustrating to see that Coco is not released in the UK until January 2018, two months after its initial US release.
Nonetheless, a wondrous new trailer for the film has been released today as we become immersed in the Land Of The Dead. Navigating us through this world is Anthony Gonzalez’s Miguel, who is looking to follow in the footsteps of his musical hero Ernesto De La Cruz (Benjamin Bratt).
Underpinned by a rendition of The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony that compliments the film’s firm focus on appreciating family through life and death.
This is shaping up to be another top-tier effort from Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich, alongside co-director Adrian Molina.
‘Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.’
