Latest International Trailer For ‘The Dark Tower’
If the marketing from Sony Pictures for the likes of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Baby Driver this Summer has been bordering on overkill, the same could hardly be applied for the big-screen adaptation of The Dark Tower.
Yet with its release looming large, they have finally released a brand new international trailer for the film based on the adored Stephen King book, as Idris Elba’s (Thor: Ragnarok later this year) gun slinging hero dukes it out with Matthew McConaughey’s (Interstellar) Man In Black.
Whilst we remain hopeful that director Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair) can pull this off in respectable fashion, the latest sneak-peek suggests that for all its well-orchestrated action, the expansion and scope of the book may have been lost in translation.
The Dark Tower is released in UK cinemas on 18th August 2017.
‘There are other worlds than these. Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world’s most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen. The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.’
