Leo DiCaprio: Bad Singing Cost Me Moulin Rouge!

Leo has revealed that he didn’t land the lead role in Moulin Rouge! because his voice wasn’t good enough!

The role eventually went to Ewan McGregor but Baz Luhrmann had his eyes on Leo until he heard him sing.

“To be honest, I’m not really prepared to do a musical, simply because I think I have a pretty atrocious voice”, Leo admitted to Variety.

“But we had a friendly thing where it was me and him and a piano player, and we tried to sing a song together. It didn’t go too well. I think it was Lean on Me.”
