Nominees: 2016 British Independent Film Awards
The British Independent Film Awards, or BIFA as the commoners say, is fast becoming one of the most distinguished movie awards in the UK. The 2016 nominees were announced on 01 November, and Cannes winner I, Daniel Blake leads the field with seven nods.
American Honey, Notes on Blindness, Adult Life Skills and Under the Shadow all pick up six each, while the likes of Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea compete in the Best International Independent Film category.
