O Russell To Reassemble Cooper And Lawrence!
Firmly in the awards season hunt, David O Russell’s ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ has been a hit with audiences and critics alike since its release back in November of last year. The chemistry between its stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence is undeniable, so it’s hardly a surprise to find that the director is eager to retain their services.
It has been confirmed that both will return for O Russell’s next project, which also boasts the talents of Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale and The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner. The premise for the project (originally titled American Bullshit), will harness its focus on a well renowned conman called Marvin Welberg from the 1970’s who posed himself as an Arab businessman in order to expose corruption of public officials.
The roles of both Cooper and Lawrence have been clarified as ‘out of control federal agent’ and Bale’s ‘wife’ respectively, with the film set to begin production in the earlier stages of this year as it aims for a 2014 release.
With such a stellar cast involved and an intriguing ‘real life’ premise at its core, we wouldn’t put it past O Russell basking in awards glory once again.
