Oscars 2017: Foreign Language Submissions

The Academy’s rules state that only one film per country can be submitted for consideration to the foreign language category. This may be why some of your favourites have been overlooked, seemingly unfairly.

From the longlist of submissions the Academy whittle the films down to a shortlist of approximately 12 films, which will subsequently be cut to the five nominated films. To date, the following films have been submitted for consideration.
