Ryan Reynolds To Headline ‘Clue’ Remake
In the wake of seeing its film assets be acquired by Disney. Fox are looking to make Ryan Reynolds an integral part of their future, which is hardly surprising after the R-rated success of ‘Deadpool’ ($783 million worldwide).
The actor’s production company Maximum Effort has signed an initial three-year deal with Fox, with Reynolds set to re-team with his ‘Pool scriptwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to develop a new version of ‘Clue’, based on the classic murder mystery board game.
Boasting wacky character names like Colonel Mustard and Professor Plum, the original film version graced our screens back in 1985, starring the likes of Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn and Lesley Ann Warren.
Reynolds is up next in comicbook sequel ‘Deadpool 2’ (released in June) alongside Josh Brolin’s Cable and will be lending his voice to live-action Pokemon offering ‘Detective Pikachu’ next year.
