Snow White’s Rupert Sanders and Tom Cruise Involved with Van Helsing Reboot?
Stephen Sommers’ 2004 supernatural adventure ‘Van Helsing’ which saw Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale taking on vampires, werewolves and other things that go bump in the night is set to be rebooted into a more “grounded in reality” installment to the vampire hunter’s universe.
The title role of Van Helsing will be played by Tom Cruise who’s next big screen appearance will be the movie adaptation Lee Child’s “Jack Reacher” novels. He is currently shooting “All You Need Is Kill” and after will begin to work on Van Helsing while also producing the film. Cruise will be accompanied by director Rupert Sanders known for his recent dark rendition of the fairy-tale ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’
Although having Sanders at the helm seems perfect for the supernatural/fantasy world of Van Helsing, his involvement with the movie is “in early and casual conversations”
In other news involving director Rupert Sanders, the rumors of the Snow White sequel are currently unconfirmed due to the directors recent affair with Kristen Stewart. Both Stewart and Sanders have made public apologies for their affair with Sanders saying “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family.”
