Tom Hardy To Star As Elton John in Rocketman

Tom Hardy is set to play Sir Elton John in a biopic of the iconic singer’s life called Rocketman.

Elton John will be involved in the filming as executive producer alongside his partner, David Furnish,  and is expected to re-record some of his big hits especially for the feature.

Hardy is best known for playing Bane in The Dark Knight Rises movies as well as Warrior, Lawless and Bronson.

The film is expected to begin shooting in the late part of 2014 and will be directed by Michael Gracey.
