Winners: 2017 Gotham Awards
The Gotham Awards have been announced, and it was a good result for both Call Me By Your Name and Get Out. The former won the top prize and Breakthrough Actor, while the unlikely horror underdog won Breakthrough Director and Best Screenplay.
Both films have long been touted as awards contenders this year, with Call Me By Your Name among many’s choice for a Best Picture nomination, so a strong showing at Gotham – very much their ‘home turf’ – will put them in great stead.
