Winners: 2017 Satellite Awards

The Satellite Awards are an odd bunch. Such is the way with awards on this home straight towards the Oscars, that they tend to have an angle that puts them a little off kilter compared to the Academy, as if to give them more relevance.

This year there are several ties, most surprisingly in the lead actress category. Not between Emma Stone and Natalie Portman, but in fact between Ruth Negga and Isabelle Huppert; two of this year’s Academy Award nominees who were not expected to win.

Ultimately, it was La La Land and Hacksaw Ridge that took away the most awards, and all the winners are listed below.
