Biel joins ‘Making of Psycho’ movie
The cast of Fox Searchlight production Alfred Hitchcock and the making of Psycho gets a boost with the news that Jessica Biel has signed on to play actress Vera Miles. Miles played the sister of doomed heroine Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) in the original Hitchcock classic.
Biel’s announcement is the latest star-calibre name added to the bill following the likes of Anthony Hopkins as the legendary director, Helen Mirren as his wife and Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh.
Biel’s commitment to the project has opened to mixed initial reviews after generally positive consideration on previous choices. Her previous credits are hardly a history of success but with such a stellar ensemble around her, this could be a chance to cut her teeth in a more critically demanding role.
English actor James D’Arcy (W.E.) is in line to star as Anthony Perkins and his on-screen alter-ego Norman Bates.
