Hobbit ‘Finale’ Release Date Delayed!
Peter Jackson, brace yourself for more raised eyebrows. Ever since the production got underway on the adaptation of J.R.R Tolkien’s beloved book ‘The Hobbit’, it’s been bogged down with various changes. Many anticipated one streamlined installment, which soon became a stretched double helping and eventually a much maligned trilogy before the finished products have even been unleashed into multiplexes.
Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and the gang better have some ‘treatment’s ready for their feet in order to complete such a long and winding journey, as New Line Cinema have announced the ‘finale’ entitled ‘There and Back Again’ is to have its release date delayed, by a further five months.
Originally to be in the midst of a fierce Summer Blockbuster battle (18th July 2014) with the likes of X Men: Days Of Future Past (Bryan Singer returning to the franchise), the film will now be released in its more traditional festive season slot (December 17th 2014).
Middle Earth fans at least have still have valid tickets for this year’s trip, with ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ set for release on 13th December.
