John Cho Stars In The Tense Trailer For ‘Searching’
‘We are what we hide’.
The ominous tagline for Aneesh Chaganty’s directorial debut ‘Searching’, which went down a storm at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, winning the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize and the Audience Award.
Starring Star Trek Beyond’s John Cho and Will and Grace actress Debra Messing, whilst telling its intriguing story predominantly through computer screens.
The heart-pounding trailer sees Cho’s father figure desperate to find his missing 16-year-old daughter and with his faith in the authorities quickly diminishing after 37 hours, he is driven to raid her laptop to piece together the truth behind her disappearance. Think Facebook. Facetime. Tumblr.
On this evidence, we suspect this may be a sleeper hit for Sony Pictures when it’s released in the UK on 31st August.
