Snowfall actor Sergio Peris-Mencheta has landed the role of a crime lord and the central villain of the upcoming Rambo sequel, Last Blood.

Currently underway in Bulgaria, Last Blood sees Sylvester Stallone’s iconic vet John Rambo making a living for himself on an Arizona ranch. When his friend’s granddaughter (Yvette Monreal) goes missing in Mexico, however, Rambo leaves his newfound sanctuary behind and teams up with a journalist (Paz Vega) to dismantle a brutal sex-trafficking ring south of the border.

In development in some form or another for nearly a decade now, Last Blood comes by way of a script by Stallone and Absentia’s Matt Cirulnick, with Get the Gringo’s Adrian Grunberg helming. Kevin King and controversial producer Avi Lerner will oversee for Millennium Entertainment.
