RIP – Sir Christopher Lee (1922-2015)
The cinematic community has lost one of its true greats today. It has been confirmed that Sir Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93.
He was a remarkable talent that always had an eye for the fantastical and theatrical. From his heavy involvement in classic Hammer Horrors as Dracula, to his more recent villainous efforts as Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels and Saruman in Peter Jackson’s epic ‘Lord Of The Rings’ saga, he never failed to command the screen and add a touch of class to any ensemble.
His legendary status as one of this country’s finest talents was merely solidified in the years 2009 and 2011 respectively, when he was knighted for his services and granted a fellowship by BAFTA.
A true master of his craft. Sir Christopher Lee. You will be sorely missed.
‘Making films has never just been a job to me; it is my life.’
