Spielberg, Hanks and Streep Join For The Post

Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep are joining forces to work on true-life publishers versus politicians drama The Post.

If it happens Spielberg will direct Hanks as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and Streep as the paper’s publisher Kay Graham.

The film follows the paper as it helps expose the Pentagon Papers which contained unreported facts which revealed an aim to escalate the Vietnam War.

The paper then fought the government on its right to report on the contents of the paper and won a legal battle in the Supreme Court.
