Terrific Teaser For Doctor Strange Debuts
‘Steven Strange. May i offer you some advice? Forget everything that you think you know..’
Judging the first trailer for Scott Derrickson’s (Sinister/The Exorcism Of Emily Rose) take on the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange is looking a wonderfully intriguing departure from his more colourful Marvel comic counterparts.
We are initially greeted by a rather disheveled looking Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) in the title role, gradually drawn into this unlikely world of mind-broadening possibility by Tilda Swinton’s (We Need To Talk About Kevin) The Ancient One, as we get mere glimpses of other key characters Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Rachel McAdams (this year’s Best Picture Oscar Winner Spotlight) whose role remains shrouded in mystery.
Expect fisticuffs that a certain Morpheus would be proud of and dizzying visuals that may just prompt worthy comparisons with a particular Christopher Nolan effort.
Marvel Studios have also released two beautiful posters which you can view below. The film debuts across the UK on 28th October 2016.
